A Study of Maintenance-Related Education in Swedish Engineering Programs

Engineers of today require a holistic understanding the lifecycle products and processes, from conceptualization to operations. Maintenance reliability are areas receiving increased attention due contribution sustainable industry practices. The related literature describes ways strengthen education with respect curricula teaching, but studies on extent content maintenance-related in engineering programs lacking. purpose this study is describe Swedish programs. main objects courses Sweden. In total, 123 Bachelor Engineering 119 Master were studied, as well 36 courses. It was found that 12% include one or more course, either mandatory elective.
